The E808 Rag Control card is designed as an interface between a broadcast mixing console and the "On Air/ Mic Live" indicators normally found in broadcast and recording studios.
The card provides DC voltage to drive Red and Green Led displays alternately.
Control is via a tally command from the mixer. If one or more microphones are Live the display is Red. When no microphones are live the display is green.
An independent section of the circuit provides surge protection for up to six telephones lines which can be looped through the card.
If any of the six lines are active, the card can drive a yellow "Tel" indicator on the RAG display.
